Sarvangadhara is an anointing of the whole body. Two therapists apply 5 quarts of warm herbal oil in gentle continuous streams over the whole body. The client assumes a series of 6 easy lying and sitting positions. After one hour the skin is toweled off thoroughly. The flow of warm oil gently washes away tension accumulated over years of stress. Habitual patterns of holding vital energy deep inside feel opened and soothed. As the treatment progress for a series of days the effects are felt in increasingly deeper areas so that the body and mind are enveloped in a cocoon of warmth and nurturing.

Pizhichil
Pizhichil is a special form of Ayurvedic treatment that combines rich oil massage with a special heat treatment

This is a highly rejuvenating treatment that enhances muscular tone and retunes the entire nervous system. It comes as a package in itself – a course of 10 days is necessary to gain its maximum healing potential.

Pudapakam Ayurvedic Eye Care Therapy
Pudapakam is the retention of medicated oil over the eyes of a person to give a cooling effect to the eyes, strengthen the optic nerve, relief from repeated stress injury, and different diseases that affect the eyes. Tharpanam and pudapakam are two terms used together in the same sense.

Kadee Vasthi
First of all an herbal massage is given in the affected part and a pool of herbal oil is kept in the lower lumbar area. This is very good in Lumbar disc aches and pains.

Sirovasthi
This is a treatment in which a cap is fit on the head and the medicated oil is poured into it, which is retained for nearly an hour for a period of 7 days. It is a traditional healing method to cure head disease and facial paralysis. It is effective on those people suffering from facial paralysis, dryness of nostril, mouth and throat, head and neck disease

Ksheeradhoomam
In this treatment medicated milk is heated and the steam is passed over the entire body. It is effective for numbness, headache, allergies, nervous disorder and paralysis

Snehapanam
This treatment is done on the empty stomach in which medicated ghee is given internally in proportionate increasing quantity for nearly 8 days. This treatment is effective on people suffering from asthma, skin disease, paralysis and psoriasis. It also helps in nourishing the body elements

Nasyam
In this treatment the medicated herbal oil is applied through the nose for a period of 7 to 14 days and it is helpful for diseases like headache, mental diseases, paralysis and all skin diseases.

Urovasthi
In this treatment medicated herbal oil is used to purify the blood and also strengthens the muscles and tissues. It is effective for those suffering from chest pain, asthma and all respiratory problems.

Njavarakizhi
The medicated pudding is applied on the entire body with the help of muslin bag. This treatment is conducted for 45 minutes and for 14 consecutive days. It is effective on those people who suffer from skin disease, joints pain, blood pressure, emaciation of limbs and cholesterol.

Kizhi
Leaves of herbs as well as whole herbs and herbal powders are applied to the entire body in boluses along with hot medicated oils for 45 minutes per day. This continues for a period of 7 to 14 days. This is an excellent therapy for osteoarthritis, arthritis with swelling, spondylosis, sports injuries, etc.

Podikizhi
A type of Ayurvedic massage treatment with herbal powders, Podikizhi is effective in curing arthritis, paralysis and neuro-muscular diseases. It is mainly done with the powdered roots of 12 herbal plants such as alpinia galanga, ricinus communis, sandalwood and dry ginger. All these are fried together with a little rock salt, crated coconut and lemon juice. The mixture is tied in muslin cloth boluses and is again heated in warm fire. It is then soaked in herbal oil to massage the whole body. After that, the patient is given a bath in moderately warm water. The treatment is an alterative to remove toxins and balance tridosha - vata (nerve energy), pitta (catabolic fire energy) and kapha (anabolic nutritive energy).

Elakizhi (Leaf bundle massage)

A treatment in Ayurveda, Elakizhi (also ilakizhi) is a bolos bag massage with medicinal leaves. It is very effective in improving the strength of muscles, relieving body pain and curing diseases such as arthritis and paralysis. In this treatment, herbal leaves are applied to the whole body in bundles with hot medicated oils. The treatment is also known by the name Patrawedam. Ricinus, drum stick, tamarind and calotropis gigantia are among the herbal leaves used for the treatment. The leaves are fried together in neem or caster oil until a brown color is attained. Lemon pieces and coconut scapes are then added to it. All these are tied in cloth boluses and dipped in medicated oil to massage the body. When the process is complete, patient is given a bath in moderately hot water.
